I got to follow the Olympic Committee's evaluation commission around LA in May 2017 as they were evaluating LA's bid for teh 2024 Olympics. It was a solid bid, but in the end LA agreed to host the 2028 games. It was there I met Nastia Liukin, Olympic champion in gymastics amd a fellow expat. She had a role as the social media correspondent for the USOC.
